How Would You Balance California's Budget?
Join us on Tuesday, May 15, 1-3 pm at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, 1300 El Camino Real, San Mateo.
California has experienced large budget shortfalls for the last decade and today faces a $9.2 billion dollar budget gap. Budget solutions affect us all. Take the Budget Challenge and decide how much should be spent on programs and where the money should come from.
Next 10 is an independent, nonpartisan organization that educates, engages and empowers Californians in the interest of improving the future economy and quality of life in California). The Budget Challenge is an interactive program to allow you to make the choices and allocations according to your priorities.
Bring your friends!
The program will feature Noel Perry, a venture capitalist, social entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He is the founder and managing director of Baccharis Capital, Inc., a private venture capital firm focusing on early stage investments in educational software, educational toys, organic food, health, and other consumer products. His concern for the well-being of local, national, and international communities has led to his founding of several organizations, including Next 10 (an independent, nonpartisan organization that educates, engages and empowers Californians in the interest of improving the future economy and quality of life in California).
